Maths KS5 · A Level Pure 1 in development

Verse-al Maths · A Level

The Verse-al Ways of Knowing, extended to advanced mathematics — for learners who want rigour without losing themselves in it.

What it is

A Level mathematics is where many curious learners fall out of love with the subject — not because the ideas get harder, but because the teaching gets narrower. Verse-al Maths A Level takes the same learner-first architecture as the complete GCSE curriculum and applies it to advanced study.

Each lesson keeps the five Ways of Knowing at its heart: pattern and structure, the human story of the mathematics, expressive ways to show understanding, things to design and build, and attention to the learner's own regulation along the way.

Already live: Pure 1

The first block of Pure Mathematics lessons is being built now, in the open — explore the live units:

  • Indices and surds
  • Quadratic functions and the discriminant
  • Simultaneous equations
  • Inequalities
  • Coordinate geometry in the (x, y) plane
  • Transformations
  • Trigonometry and the sine rule

Designed for

  • Neurodivergent sixth-formers who think in patterns but stall on procedure.
  • Hybrid and home-educated learners working towards A Level entry as private candidates.
